The BCSD Board of Trustees is excited to recognize Elizabeth Galpin!
The following accolade was submitted by Scott Slonim:
This accolade is for Elizabeth Galpin, the librarian at Hemingway STEAM School. I am writing it as both a parent and a coworker. My son LOVES Mrs. Galpin. He comes home and talks about her often and shares things she taught the class. She has gotten him interested in different genres of books, most recently cookbooks. We have now started cooking together thanks to her influence. He even recently said that reading is one of his favorite things to do, something he has not said before.
On the teacher side, Elizabeth is a pleasure to work with. She is a part of our specials team, opens the library for our meetings, and contributes greatly. She always has encouraging words to share. She is also extremely helpful to me when I need help. The library is always a very welcoming place for students, as she greets students at the door with a smile and warm words. Elizabeth spends a lot of time getting to know each student and finds out what types of books students are interested in and acquires those books. She keeps the library organized, clean, and makes it a special place to spend time.
I am so happy my son gets her as his librarian and I love working with her. I am very thankful that Mrs. Galpin is the librarian at Hemingway STEAM School.

We are looking for someone with experience in bus, vehicle, or heavy diesel repair who takes pride in keeping things operating smoothly and supporting student transportation each day. This role plays an important part in maintaining a safe and efficient fleet for our school community.

This 1,380-square-foot home includes 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fully finished exterior built for Blaine County winters, and an interior that is rough framed and ready for your personal finishing touches. It reflects the hard work, craftsmanship, and real-world learning experiences of our students.
Bids will be accepted until 3:00pm on May 1, 2026, at the District Office located at 118 W Bullion Street in Hailey, with a minimum bid of $90,000.
