Gillette-Shippen, Kaly

Kaly comes to Silver Creek with several years of experience as a CTE teacher, coach, and administrator. Her first teaching job was in Anchorage, Alaska where she taught social studies and attended an incredible educator retreat in the Eskimo Village of Chevak. As a young mom, Kaly worked as an online teacher, commercial real estate agent and marketing manager, and finished her master's degree in Instructional Psychology and Technology.  Kaly was the head tennis coach at Skyline High School for two years prior to returning to the classroom as a business teacher at Minico High School. She earned her Ed.S in Executive Educational Leadership and her Special Education Director certification from Boise State. Her first administrative job was as a V.P. and athletic director at Jerome High School. Kaly moved to the Wood River Valley in August of 2025 and coaches basketball at Wood River High School in addition to teaching social studies at Silver Creek. She enjoys swimming, golf, tennis, pickleball, pinochle, waterskiing, and spending time with her family. Her educational heroes include John Wooden and Heather Williams.
